Starting is the hardest part

For a child with ADHD
Evotonomia breaks everyday routines into illustrated steps that the child ticks off one by one. The aim is to reduce what they have to hold in memory, make time visible, and let them start a task without an adult repeating the instruction. The app works offline, with no account and no ads.

Evotonomia is an everyday organisation tool. It is not a medical device and it replaces no form of support.
For a child with ADHD
Four situations families describe most often, and where a visual support genuinely changes something.
«Go and get ready» assumes the child can rebuild a whole sequence alone. They usually know what to do, they just do not know where to begin, and a broad instruction does not help.
With no external cue, ten minutes and an hour feel alike. Reminders pile up, the adult gets frustrated, and the child discovers they are late far too late to fix it.
Holding five steps in mind while carrying them out is a task of its own. One step drops, the routine derails, and a sense of failure sets in even though motivation was never the problem.
Saying the same thing ten times tires the adult and humiliates the child. A visual support moves the instruction from the adult to the wall or the screen, which defuses much of the conflict.
What the app does
Nothing magical, just simple tools that make the sequence and the passing of time visible.
01
Each routine splits into short steps, every one carrying a pictogram. The child validates one at a time and always sees where they are, which turns a list to remember into a list to follow.

02
Every mission is set independently: a timer to make duration tangible, a strict order when sequence matters, a free order when it does not. A circular countdown timer is also available outside missions.

03
Points, achievements and rewards are configured by the adult and can be switched off per child. For a child with performance anxiety the whole block disappears from their interface, and missions keep validating normally.

Something to take away right now
Mornings, the school bag and coming home, as routine strips to put up, progress charts and cut-out cards. Usable without the app, in colour or in an ink-saving black and white version.

The guides and pages that go into detail on each point.
